Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
QuietConnect is a macOS menu bar app that sets your preferred volume when headphones connect. It is built to work entirely on your Mac. This policy explains what that means for your data.
The app collects no data
QuietConnect does not collect, store, or share any personal data. The app makes no network requests, contains no analytics or tracking, and has no account system.
Your settings (such as your preferred volume and whether banners are shown) are saved only on your Mac, in the app's own sandboxed storage. The app reads the name and type of your current audio output device only to decide whether it is a pair of headphones; this information never leaves your Mac.
Purchases
The free trial and the one-time unlock are in-app purchases processed by Apple through the Mac App Store. We never receive your name, Apple Account, or payment details. The app checks your purchase status on your Mac using Apple's StoreKit. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
This website
This website uses privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and reliability.
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your email with anyone.
Children
QuietConnect is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Because the app collects no data, changes are expected to be rare.
